Vintage Solid Silver Japanese Torii Gate Dinner Gong
A torii is a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine, where it symbolically marks the transition from the mundane to the sacred.
This Unique Silver Gong is in the form of a torii gate, beautifully handcrafted with a hammered finish and decorated with floral symbols. The Gong itself is brass with an embossed floral design. Rings beautifully. A super dinner gong for the discerning entertainer or a great meditation gong !!
Condition: Great vintage condition, some wear commensurate with age and use - there are a couple of wee dents on each pillar - hardly noticeable. the left-facing leg has also a small dent - please see photos. The bottom of the pillars is weighted for stability. The test for silver was positive. It is difficult to age this particular piece, my estimate from wear would be more than 50 years old.

Antique or vintage items have been used and as most antique dealers would say "PRE-LOVED", they will show signs of wear that is commensurate with age. Now this will appeal to some as it authenticates it's age.
