Vintage Oriental Vertical Dream Stone Table Screen

A vertical marble “dream stone” plaque mounted in a rosewood frame. 
These refined tabletop screens were an addition to the Chinese artists and scholars where the screen blocked the wind from knocking over their paint pots and bamboo brush pots.
This type of table screen with a panel made from marble found in Dali, Yunnan province showing natural abstract landscapes. They were sources of inspiration for the artist in the patterns of the marble.  Other names for the dream stone panel is also Ink Screens, Picture Stones or Stone Painting.

Condition: Good vintage condition with some wear commensurate with age.
