Vintage Novelty Brass Trivet in the Form of an Insect / Beetle - Ornately decor

A novelty trivet in the form of a beetle with high relief eyes and an ornate body.  The trivet has raised legs and can be used as a trivet in the kitchen or hearth.  A superb ornament on its own.    Great character. 
 
Condition: Great vintage condition, some wear commensurate with age and use.
