Antique French Portable Travel Foot Warmer,Solid Brass stamped Girodon & Montet

A beautiful piece of history that has stood the test of time and can even be used today.   This brilliant piece of technology for its time was a portable warmer for the early 20th century cars.      
The mesh cage inside held charcoal blocks which burned to give heat which could be regulated by opening and closing the vent in the lid, this could be place under the feet or on your lap.  Gorgeous wee wooden handle to carry around. 

Condition : Good Antique condition - some wear commensurate with age and use.  The circular vent opens and closes with ease.  Hinges are intact and aligned.  Push button in front to release lid - all in good working order.

Antique or vintage items have been used and as most antique dealers would say "PRE-LOVED", they will show signs of wear which is  commensurate with age.  Now this will appeal to some as it authenticates it's age.
