A Victorian Cast Iron Swing Mirror Bronze Pierced Ivy with Scallop Shell Tray

A Victorian Cast Iron Swing Mirror Bronze Pierced Ivy with Scallop Shell Tray

SKU: VMA425

The late Victorian period gilt-painted cast iron swing frame dressing table mirror has oval glass on down swept supports decorated with leaves and scrolls, and the pierced stand with a shell trinket dish tray, on scroll legs.  Highly ornate with the organic combination of Ivy leaves surrounding the mirror and a scalloped tray for jewellery.  A rare find.

Condition: Good antique condition, some wear commensurate with age and use.  The mirror swings freely with hinges in good order.  The paint seems to be a powder-coated bronze colour.   As it is cast iron it is a heavy piece - a good sturdy mirror

Footnote :
Antique or vintage items have been used and as most antique dealers would say "PRE-LOVED", they will show signs of wear which is commensurate with age.  Now this will appeal to some as it authenticates its age.
I will always try to list all faults found with each object to the best of my ability and photos form part of the illustrative narrative.
All vintage used items are sold "as is" . If in doubt please ask questions before you make your purchase, I am always happy to answer and send additional photos if required.
